POEM: The Dance of Discipline and Balance
We walk a fine line, drawn between work and rest, Where discipline calls, and balance feels best. One drives us forward, with strength and might, The other pulls gently, seeking the light.
To rise, to strive, to chase a dream, Sometimes, we must silence the gleam Of fleeting joy and quiet peace, To honor effort and find release.
For every choice, something is lost, A price we pay, no matter the cost. When discipline leads, balance must fade, Rest is delayed, as efforts invade.
Yet when we seek that perfect pause, And life’s demands become the cause, Focus falters, our pace slows, Leisure takes the goal we chose.
In this dance, we cannot hold both near, One must lead, while the other disappears. Discipline calls, balance must wait, At the crossroads, we choose our fate.
So choose with care, and know the price, Discipline demands balance must break, For in the end, one will guide, While the other steps aside.
Our Blood Donation Journey: YPTGL 2.0
On November 17, 2023, the KB Klub launched Your Power to Gift Life, a groundbreaking blood donation drive aimed at increasing awareness and inspiring participation in voluntary blood donation. The event, hosted at the Indoor Sports Hall of the University of Lagos, welcomed over 1,000 attendees and partnered with reputable organizations such as Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Lagos State Blood Transfusion Service (LSBTS), and the Nigerian Red Cross.
And guess what? The KB KLUB did it again, and it was way bigger. On August 15, 2025, the KB KLUB launched Your Power to Gift Life 2.0. This time around we weren't just after the blood pints; we were also after impact and spreading the gospel of voluntary blood donation. The KB KLUB targeted six different local government areas in Lagos State. If we were able to do it at one location, why not six? Eti-Osa, Lagos Mainland, Lagos Island, Ikeja, Ikorodu and Surulere felt our presence; they felt our impact. We were able to reach over one million people through our physical and online publicity and once again give people reasons to donate voluntarily.
